Aussies Love Sport had been backed quite heavily in the past few days, with his odds settling at around $15 at Ladbrokes.com.au.

The three-year-old was in winning form, having claim victory in his past two race starts.

His latest win came in the Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality over 1,400 metres at Royal Randwick last weekend.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse, Aussies Love Sport has won two of his six race starts and has earned more than $151,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.

Waterhouse will now have to rely on Pitcrew, War, Bull Point and Marseille Roulette in today’s 2013 Golden Rose.

Aussies Love Sport is nominated for the Group 3 Spring Stakes at Newcastle next Wednesday September 18, 2013.

He will likely now run in the Spring Stakes before continuing on his planned spring path this campaign.

Aussies Love Sport’s major aim this preparation will be the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas at Caulfield Racecourse on Saturday October 12, 2013.
