Press Statement is the only Group 1 winner confirmed in the 2015 Golden Rose and is offered a great opportunity to post a second win at the highest level after drawing the ideal barrier 3.

Taking out a pair of minor Sydney sprints with complete ease upon debuting to racing in autumn, Press Statement produced a monumental turn of foot to take out the Group 1 JJ Atkins (1600m) on June 6th before returning to the paddock.

Running on for an agonizingly-close second in the Group 2 Run To The Rose (1200m) a fortnight ago, the Hinchinbrook colt is primed for success, particularly with regular hoop Tye Angland aboard.

Gold Symphony has produced several impressive efforts at black type level this time in and is sure to lay a great account for himself from the rails draw in the 2015 Golden Rose.

Winning a Mornington minor over 1200m on debut before finishing second to Jalan Jalan in the Flemington Family Handicap (1200m) a fortnight later, Gold Symphony has more than stamped himself as up to the class in winning each of the Group 3 Vain Stakes (1100m) and Group 3 McNeil Stakes (1200m) on August 29th.

Tommy Berry has picked up the ride on the Reward For Effort colt and is sure to offer a gem of a performance in Saturday’s feature.

Gai Waterhouse was forced to scratch leading contender Vancouver from Golden Rose contention after the colt failed to reach peak condition, but the popular trainer is still offered a great chance of success in Speak Fondly; the 2015 Golden Rose Stakes sole filly.

Finishing outside the first three only once in six career starts, the Northern Meteor filly is yet to taste anything but success this time, having won each of the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) and Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m).

Allocated the ideal barrier 4, Speak Fondly will be partnered by Hong Kong-based hoop Brett Prebble and will carry a race-low 54.5kgs.

Godolphin are set to launch a multi-pronged attack on Saturday Rosehill feature after trainer John O’Shea confirmed all of Exosphere, Shards and Holler in the Golden Rose final field.

Having clearly rated Exosphere the team’s best chance of success, O’Shea has confirmed leading hoop James McDonald will take the ride on the colt, who will carrying winning form into the Golden Rose after taking out the Run To The Rose first-up.

Shards delivered a talented field a crushing defeat in the Group 3 Up And Coming Stakes (1300m) first-up and will be partnered by world-renowned hoop Joao Moreira in the 2015 Golden Rose.

Holler is sure to be boosted by the addition of in-form hoop Sam Clipperton to the saddle, and will also receive a good run in transit from barrier 5.

Team Hawkes runner Rageese with leave from barrier 9 with Brenton Avdulla aboard, while Sebring Sun (barrier 7) and Let’s Make It Rain (barrier 8) complete the 2015 Golden Rose final field.
